How Did the State Department of Transportation Select a Master Development Team?

Savage MARC Station photographThe Maryland Department of Transportation, through the Maryland Transportation Authority's Transportation Public Private Partnership Program (TP3), received an unsolicited proposal for Transit Oriented Development at the Savage MARC Station in September 2005.  After internal review of this proposal, the State determined the proposal had merit and advertised in January 2006 for competing proposals through a Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI).  Several proposals were submitted by the March 2006 deadline.  After a comprehensive internal review, the Maryland Department of Transportation and the Maryland Transportation Authority selected Petrie Ross Ventures, LLC of Annapolis, Maryland, for exclusive negotiating rights in the Summer of 2006.  A fact sheet on the development team and on the development program is available by selecting the following link: Fact Sheet.
