For Immediate Release:

MTA MOBILITY OFFICE MOVES TO NEW LOCATION
New central location is beneficial to all Mobility customers

(Baltimore, MD) June 20, 2008 -- The Maryland Transit Administration’s (MTA) Office of Mobility Services will begin its office relocation on Monday, June 23 when its new Certification Office opens on the 2nd floor of 4201 Patterson Avenue, just south of Reisterstown Plaza in Northwest Baltimore. Previously this office was located at 6 St Paul Street in Downtown Baltimore.

The MTA expects this move to have a minimal impact on the public as most Mobility Certification appointments are pre-scheduled, and many of the applicants are transported to the office by MTA Mobility vehicles. Later this summer there will be additional MTA Mobility relocations to the same Patterson Avenue address.  The new Mobility Certification Office phone number is 410-547-2100, and the fax number is 410-547-2121.

The new Mobility Customer Service (suggestions, compliments, and complaints) phone numbers are
410-547-2111, 2113, and 2114.  The current Mobility Reservation Line will stay the same:  410-727-3535.

The MTA Reduced Fare Certification Office, serving seniors and individuals with disabilities who ride regular fixed-route MTA services such as Local Bus, Light Rail, and Metro Subway, will remain at 6 St. Paul Street. Its primary phone number will be 410-767-3441. Both offices will maintain their current hours which are Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and  they are both closed on Fridays. The MTA Transit Store will remain located at 6 St. Paul Street. Its hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
