STOP! If you are interested in being considered for both state and federal contracts, you must complete the Uniform Certification Application (UCA). If you are interested in being considered for state only contracts, you must submit the State of Maryland Certification Application (MDOT). The following categories must submit a state only certification application: - a "not for profit" entity organized to benefit mentally or physically disabled individuals; or
- a disabled individual; or
- an individual or entity that wishes to be considered for "straight state contracts only."
- an individual or entity with a Personal Net Worth above $750,000 but below $1,500,000.
Please Note: Most applicants should submit the UCA. If you submit a state only certification application, you cannot participate as a minority business on a federally funded contract at MDOT. The submission of an improper application will only add to the processing time. Your application will not be processed until the correct application form has been received. While the UCA is more extensive than the state only application, the use of the UCA is in accordance with federal requirements.
